Welcome to the website of the Australian Rope Access Association.

The ARAA is an association of rope access professionals and interested parties. It has been formed to:

  • Enhance levels of expertise and professionalism among members in particular and the rope access industry in general
  • Create standards that will provide a safe working environment for rope access professionals
  • Give members access to the latest industry information
  • Liase with governmental regulatory bodies
  • Promote use of rope access as a fast, safe and frequently more cost-effective alternative to traditional access methods

 

WORKSAFE - WorkSafe's “Back to Basics” campaign

We announce the launch of the next phase in WorkSafe's “Back to Basics” campaign, "Supervising for safety". This phase will be the subject of specific attention by construction inspectors for the next six months and will focus on promoting and checking that construction sites are effectively supervised.

The "Supervising for safety" phase asks everyone working on construction sites – from principal contractors to apprentices - to know their safety responsibilities and act on them.
