ARAA ASSESSORS WORKSHOP MAY 09Written by adminTue 12th May 2009 During a long weekend in May a number of Assessors / Committee members and local level 3 technicians attended a 3 day long seminar . The objective is to enable an open discussion about the existing training programs and content . All who attended gave up their own time and expenses , and given the current ecomnic climate we must save a big thank you for that committment . We would also like to credit Bill Proctor from SAFETY ACCESS & RESCUE for the use of his premises and to Rob Dunshea who assisted with the weekends activities . All agreed that it was the most imformative and productive session to date : Some of the highlights included : * New level of operator classifications coming soon * New look log books * Assessors documentation streamlined * Assessors only web site access to training documentation * Rope Access manual * Quality Assurance from Rope Access linked to company membership - draft paper to be circulated soon * Use of ID's and shunts - ARAA to make a statement shortly Other matters included how we would approach the National Committee structure and agreed that a election paper would be circulated to all members in the coming months. Below is the new look ARAA Assesors uniform and the Arizona Vortex in action but highlights the wonderful location of the NSW Blue mountains. |
