NSW: ARAA industrial rope access training courses

National Height Safety & Access Solutions has scheduled public ARAA industrial rope access training courses at its head office in Marrickville, Sydney for the following dates;

20 – 24 Apr 09 - Level 1 and level 2 (max 6 participants)
20 – 24 Jul 09 – Level 1 and level 2 (max 6 participants)
25 – 29 Aug 09 – Level 3 (max 6 participants)
19 – 23 Oct 09 – Level 1 and level 2 (max 6 participants)

Other training courses:

24 - 26 Mar 09 – Introduction to Non Destructive Testing (5 vacancies – max 10 participants)
29 Apr 09 – Radiation Hazard Awareness – Mobile antennae (5 vacancies – 10 participants)

In addition to the above, additional courses will be run on demand pending numbers of participants.

We have just successfully completed our first ‘Introduction to Corrosion’ course of which all participants have expressed their enthusiasm and willingness to continue on with corrosion related training and education.

What sounds like a very dry subject, the presenter, Mark Weston (from the Australasian Corrosion Assoc.) succeeded in delivering it to a full class of participants whilst relating it directly to our day to day work in the field.

Due to the success, we are seeking an expression of interest for those interested in attending a second ‘introduction to corrosion’ course planned for the second half of 2009. Additionally, we are looking to further the education in corrosion in the following areas:

· Corrosion and Protection of Reinforced Concrete (2 days)
· Introduction to Cathodic Protection (1 day)
· Introduction to Protective Coatings (1 day)
